Rotcho’s philosophy is based on the respect of terroir.
Wine is born in the vineyard and we believe that the vineyard is the soul of our wines.
We use environmentally sound pest control methods. Birds and beneficial insects of the terroir help us with this. Soil strip tillage stimulates the active life of the soil. Each vine is an individual living being that is also part of a community.
Our vineyards located on the right bank of the river Duruji at about 450m of altitude:

Since 2019 the vines are Organic Certified (by CAUCASCERT).
Harvested by hand into crates, the grapes are sorted and vinified using a minimum of inputs. The Must fermented in Qvevri* with skin contact.
Ageing takes another 12 - 24 months.
Since 2020 the Wines are Organic Certified (by CAUCASCERT).
* Qvevri is a giant size clay vessel, shaped like an egg and buried up to „Throat" under the ground. Used for fermenting and aging amber and red Georgian wines.
